How much does the ROOBSTER cost?

The ROOBSTER will retail for $1’499, but we will have a one-time only early bird special on Indiegogo for $999 on April 27th. After the early bird special runs out, the board will be available on Indiegogo for $1’299 until the campaign ends.

What is the timeline on delivery?

The ROOBSTERS that you see in the images and the videos are prototypes built with our own hands. We are currently working with a manufacturing partner to finalize the manufacturing version and will then go into production. Realistically, our earliest delivery will be in the last quarter of 2020.

When can I order my ROOBSTER?

You will be able to order your ROOBSTER on Indiegogo on April 27th.

How long does it take to recharge the battery?

It will take 1.5-2 hours to fully recharge your battery.

How do you steer?

Thanks to a newly patented front wheel mechanism, you will be able to steer your ROOBSTER by shifting your balance only.

What is the range?

Although we first announced that the range is 6 miles, we were now able to extend the range to 10 miles. We understand that range is important to you guys so we will constantly be working on improving it.

What is the top speed?

The top speed of the ROOBSTER is 16 miles per hour.

How much does it weigh? The ROOBSTER currently weighs 16 pounds. The final weight may vary by a pound or two depending on how many extras we build into the manufacturing versions (i.e extra battery packs).

How difficult is it to ride the ROOBSTER?

Everybody can learn how to ride the ROOBSTER, but it will take a few tries until you understand the mechanisms and you have the right feeling of balance. Usually, people figure it out within 5 minutes.

How does the speed control work?

The speed control is in the platform, so there is no remote control. The speed sensors are marked on the platform by a plus and minus (the plus being in the front). If you lean forward, you will speed up, once you shift your weight backwards you will slow down.

How do you brake?

You will be able to brake by shifting you weight backwards Can the ROOBSTER go uphill? The ROOBSTER is not meant to go uphill, but it is able to go up 10% inclines.

Where do you ship?

We ship internationally. But we will only have the American and European plug in the portfolio.

Can I ride the ROOBSTER legally on the street?

Unfortunately there are countries where it is not allowed to ride the ROOBSTER on public streets. Please contact your local police for more information.
